Procedure Text Project
In this project, I partnered up with one of my classmates 'Merina', to create a procedure text and a video to go with it. We chose the topic ''How to Upload a Video on Youtube with Your Mobile Phone''.
I chose this topic because I am an avid youtube watcher, and Youtube is probably one of my most-used apps. I also enjoy making videos and editing, which makes this topic an ideal one for me. I love how Youtube offers creativity while is able to be educative at the same time, there are a lot of benefits from the app if you use it appropriately. I love to make my ideas soar and come alive into videos, so making a video on how to do just that is perfect! I've also incorporated some of my favourite things in this video, to make it really scream ''ME''. Towards the end of the video, you will be able to see me watching a Youtuber called ''Beluga''. Beluga is a video creator that makes super funny videos or we can safely call a ''meme''. A meme is not a very well known term for older people, but it's basically another word for ''funny videos'' or posts. I enjoy comedy and memes a lot, hence why I decided to add a clip of me watching Beluga in the procedure text video. I can also be seen eating ''Fitbar'', which is one of my all-time favourite snacks. I had so much fun editing the video! I will definitely be looking forward to having more video assignments for English class!
Here's the video I edited and the procedure text to follow it :) Enjoy!
How to Upload a Video on Youtube with Your Mobile Phone
Youtube is a creative platform where you can pour in all your ideas and
creativity into a video in order to entertain and educate the people of the internet.
Do you happen to have any video ideas bursting in your head and want the
world to see them? Or maybe you have a super well edited video on your phone,
waiting to be released? Well you can always upload them into Youtube from just
from a few clicks on your phone screen! But how do we do that?
These are the steps to do just that!
What
you will need:
1. First thing on the list, you will need to have the Youtube app installed on your phone, and a Youtube account that has been set on “Channel”
2. A video of your choice
3.
Most crucial thing
you will need: Internet connection
Steps:
1. First of all, go on the
Youtube app and log in to your account. Make sure your account has been made
into a “Channel’’ and not for personal viewings only. This can be done in the
‘Settings’.
2.
Next, tap on the plus sign, usually located at the
bottom of the screen
3.
Once you’ve tapped on the plus sign, you’ll be given
three options to choose from. In this case, click on “Upload a video”.
4.
On this step, you’ll be able to see a selection of
videos from your gallery. Select the video of your choice, then press “Next” at
the top right corner to approve the video. This step will bring you to the next
stage, which will be the detail editing process.
5.
In the editing
process, you will see a layout that will give you the opportunity to add a
‘Title’ to your video to give it more context. Write a title of your choice,
preferably something that has relations to the video you are uploading in order
to avoid confusion.
6. Add
a description. The description is something viewers will be able to see
underneath the video once the video is uploaded. This step is optional, but it
helps to tell viewers far more details on what to expect from the video, it can
even include related links.
7. Next
is to choose a privacy setting for your video. This will let you decide your
video visibility. There are 3 options for your video’s visibility:
-
Public, which means that anyone on the internet will
be able to view it
-
Unlisted, means that anyone with the link to the video
can view
-
Private, only people you choose can view
Tap on the one that resonates with your intention. Once
you’re all done with the details, tap on ‘Next’ on the top right corner of the
screen to continue.
8.
On to the second final step, select your audience.
This step can be skipped, though to assure a safer Youtube community, choose
one of the three options provided. If your video is made for younger viewers, tap
on “Yes, it’s made for kids”.
If your video includes mature adult content, then tap on the one below
it, or simply tap on the age restricted video option on the very bottom.
9.
Lastly, tap on ‘’Upload’’. Uploading time will depend
on the duration of your video. Once it’s done, your video should be ready for the
world to view!
Those were the steps to upload a video on Youtube,
just from a few clicks on your phone, now you are able to share all your video
creativity for the world to see, anytime you like!
So, go out there and start creating, you’ll never know
how much of a good impact your videos can have on the platform!
Thank You
